  • American Style Oat Flour Apple Pancakes

    Add the oat flour, baking powder, salt in a bowl

    In seperate bowl add the apple sauce and egg and mix.

    Then with a small sieve squash the blueberries leaving only the juice of the fruit in the mix.

    Add everything to the dry mix and mix all together. Then add the water. If the mix is to dry,add a little bit more water. Just make sure the mix doesn’t become to runny.

    If you have a sweet tooth you can add extra apple sauce to the mix or a tsp of a natural sweetner of your choice. I would usually choose maple syrup or Brown rice malt syrup.

    In pan add 1/2  tsp of coconut oil so that the pancakes won’t stick to the pan. Coconut oil is considered one of the best oils to cook because its is mainly a saturated fat, therefore it is able to withstand higher temperatures than other oils.

    And add small amount of the mix in the pan. Remember the pancakes become thick so make sure you don’t put to much of the mix at once, as otherwise it might not cook properly in the middle.
